Two years ago, we went to Port Au Prince, Haiti on a mission trip.  We worked with an orphanage, that houses about 90 children, over a two-week period.  During that period, we met a boy named Wilson Balthazar who grabbed our attention and captured our hearts.  When we first met him, he was a little over 6 years old.

Although adoption wasn’t on our radar at the time, it was after we had returned home that we couldn’t stop thinking about and praying for this little boy.  About a month later, we decided to pursue his adoption.

We were met with an immediate roadblock; according to Haitian law, adoptive parents must be at least 35 years old.  We have been able to take several trips since that time to visit Wilson and work and serve in the ministry of the orphanage and community.  All the while, our hearts have longed to bring this special little boy home.  This past November, we were able to qualify as adoptive Haitian parents and we began collecting all of the items for our dossier.

Last weekend, both Christy and I began to sense from the Lord that NOW was the time for Wilson to come home to his forever family.  We diligently worked to complete what paperwork we could in order to expedite our process.  Today alone, we have had a number of conversations that have resulted in the affirmation of how we feel that the Lord has spoken to our hearts.

Please pray for us, as this has already been a very long process.  The Lord has proven faithful and has begun to move through mountains of paperwork.  As we continue to trust in Him, He alone will bring this little boy home to our hearts and family.  Additionally, we will need to raise about $12,000.00 to make it through this next phase.  If the Lord compels you to give, you may click here or you can send us an email.  Above all, pray for God’s hand to work and move through this process to BRING WILSON HOME!
